Once again the holiday season is upon us again; and that means that once again the Sacramento Comics Creator Group and other comic book artists from around the California area will once again gather to put their talents to work for the annual “Draw for toys” to benefit the “Toys For Tots” charity at the Empire’s Comic Vault in Sacramento California. December 17th 2011 from 11:00 am – 8:00 pm.The artists will be drawing throughout the day on original pieces of artwork the artwork will be auctioned off as the artists finish the artwork; in addition the artists will also be taking requests to draw artwork on demand for only $30.00.If you are looking for that perfect one of a kind present for that special someone be sure to come by Empire’s Comic Vault, if you don’t live in the Sacramento area or in California but still want to participate in the event you can watch, bid, and buy live on the stream cast. http://www.livestream.com/sccg.Those that come to the event are asked to bring a new unwrapped gift for “Toys For Tots” ; with all proceeds from the auction and freelance artwork going to the “Toys For Tots” charity; even bids and commissions on the streaming cast will be donated to the charity.Hosting the “Draw for toys” event will be Jason Dube founder of the SCCG and creator of such comics as “Panda Days”, “Caffiened Poison” “Scattered”, and “Shadow Hunters”; joining Jason will be the Bay Area’s “Horror Babe” Horror Hostess Miss MiseryFor those that come to Empire’s Comic Vault to the event to not only drop off a toy and see the fantastic artists as they work on their artwork, be sure to also bring the kids to this family friendly event; on hand will be the Sacramento Ghostbusters, kids can ride in the Ecto-1 Truck, see anime themed hot rod presented by “Team Love Hate”;, meet the “Toys For Tots” Marines, and of course meet Santa.Last year we raised a $1,200.00 and filled 3 large bins with toys.
