About 0.000358% of the general population has ever even heard of a shucking competition, let alone seen one. Those who do understand the intricacies of playing with knives at speed, are always away on holiday when the local contest arises. Distance to the contest is another deterring factor that TSN nor Food TV has overcome to bring the oyster loving fans their National Sport. BC has always felt left out, what with those majestic mountains separating them from PEI. So we at OysterChamps have decided it is time to bring the Oyster Championships to you. Whether it is the Canadian Championships, US Nationals, The Worlds or some local and regional events where knives and shells clash for bragging rights and BIG, BIG money (not really, but those novelty cheques are hard to fly home), OysterChamps will be there.
