Good morning.
We have a computer dedicated exclusively to the transmission of a public channel in Colombia through Procaster. Transmission is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The computer configuration is: Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.8 GHz. RAM: 2 GB Operating System: Windows XP, Service Pack 3 Procaster version: 20.3.7 (we also tested with 20.3.0 and has not worked) The television signal is captured with a device ENMVG Encore - USB Audio / Video Grabber We test speed is http://newyork.speedtest.net/ and these were the results: Ping: 5 ms Download speed: 3.27 Mbps Upload speed: 3.38 Mbps Attached screenshots of the video settings and audio Procaster. The channel works fine on desktop computers, iPods, iPhones and iPhone, but the rest of mobile devices does not work. (Android, Blackberry). Anybody can help us with this problem? We think we have configured everything correctly, but still do not understand why playback only works on Apple devices and others (like Android) doesn't work. |

Do you have any idea which exact Android devices are experiencing this issue?

emergugue,
I've opened your channel on three separate Android devices (Galaxy S, Galaxy Nexus, and Atrix) and all three devices have loaded and played the stream flawlessly. Do you know if it is a certain Android OS that is not loading the player? The three devices I tested on were running Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich.

I tested the signal to multiple devices with different versions of Android, since Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb and ICS and none works.
I have exhausted all resources and I have no idea why this problem with this operating system. If anyone has an idea of what might be or which side should investigate to solve this problem, thank you. |

Hello. Today we begin to use another capture, a Blackmagic H264. To begin testing this capture card, we did it in another channel (mobile.livestream.com/telemedellinmobile) and it worked correctly, both on PC and mobile devices including Android. We think that the problem with the preview in the Android operating system was the capture.
After testing, connect the signal to the official channel (mobile.livestream.com/telemedellintv), which has the same configuration as the channel in which we did the tests. Obviously the quality of audio and video incredibly improved, but when we checked the signal on Android devices, we got the surprise of not working again and had exactly the same configuration as when we tested on the other channel. After doing further tests on different channels, we conclude that the problem of playback on Android is the channel mobile.livestream.com/telemedellintv, because in the other channels everything works correctly. Anyone know what can happen? Last edited by emergugue; 23rd August 2012 at 19:39. Reason: Wrong URL, again. |
