How To Keep Under 500kbps

Hi I Have a free account. And I think Livestream is the best broadcasting platform out there to date.

I keep getting lost signal. Is this due to the stream going over 500kbps? I have set my target britate to 500kbps. I also get emails saying that Broadcast Error and too keep too 500kbps. All my other DJs obey the rules but still getting the error emails. Can you give me some tips on how to keep below 500

I have 30mb broadband
8gb ram
AMD x 4 core
Windows 7

Hi Danny,

Which encoding software are you using for broadcasts? Are you using any capture devices at all? Free channels are limited to 500kbps, however this limit does not apply when using Procaster. Additionally, most encoding softwares use a variable bit rate, which may at times spike past 500kbps if you have that set as your target bit rate.
