Default livestreaming console games?

Okay, so I'm kind of new to the whole, streaming thing and my experience with this particular site is all from my computer with the procaster.

However, I want to get a little bit more into it as it were. I'm buying a new computer and new tv soon so I figured this would be the perfect time to figure it all out.
All I really need to know is how to stream video/audio from my TV, as well as keeping the microphone/webcam from my computer working. I've been told to just buy a capture card and cord splitters, the problem with THAT is the tv I'm getting only has HDMI slots, no composite cables.

To capture from HDMI you will need a capture card that will accept this type of source as an input.

We recommend the BlackMagic Intensity Pro if you are using a desktop:

For a laptop there are also a number of external capture devices that will allow you to capture an HDMI source and run this into your computer via USB or Thunderbolt.

Some recommendations for these are here:
