Having lag issues when watching people's livestreams

I recently have been experiencing some visual lag while watching other people's channels. I know it can't be the channels themselves because no one else is having lag issues. Can you please help me so I can be able to watch the streams normally like before?

I use Windows XP and my browser is Google Chrome.

Please go to speedtest.net and run a test to a destination server in New York, NY, and let me know your result. You should have a minimum of 700kbps download for the best viewing experience. Also if the channel you're viewing is streaming in multiple bit rates, try adjusting the quality setting in the lower right side of the player.

I've been having similar lag problems, where the stream will backtrack to already-played sections, and then will seemingly skip ahead to compensate. I tried the speedtest, and here's my result: http://www.speedtest.net/result/1900636635.png
Any more advice?

Does this occur on all channels or one channel in specific? If it is only one channel, could you provide the name of the channel?

I'm having the exact same issue on any livestream I watch here. It's getting pretty difficult to watch them and no one else seems to be having this problem.

i am having the same problems on multiple channels. skip/repeat. also, the words 'experimental mode' are stationary in the upper left hand corner of the video window.

Hi! Since no one else seems to be interested in helping, I've tried to figure this out myself.
I also had "experimental mode" on my screen (no clue when it go there or why) but turning it off seemed to help. I right-clicked the video and clicked experimental mode toggle. It's not perfect, but now the streams I watch no longer skip around!

thank you for your suggestions. when i logged in this AM to try it, the experimental mode indication was gone from the video window and i could not find an experimental mode toggle in my settings control. also, the repeat had stopped but the feed was still horrifically 'stop and go'. totally unwatchable.

however, the archives played fine so i do not think it is a download rate issue on my end. to further that, i have no issue with youtube, hulu or various other vid sites.

as i was writing this, the problem has stopped so i guess, thank you livestream.
