I've triple-checked the rtmp:// URL and it looks ok. All FME says is the following:
Thu Aug 28 2008 03:33:06 : Primary - Connected Thu Aug 28 2008 03:33:19 : Primary - Stream Status: Success Thu Aug 28 2008 03:33:19 : Primary - Network Status: NetConnection.Connect.Closed status Thu Aug 28 2008 03:33:24 : Primary - Unable to stream. Network problem at server. Thu Aug 28 2008 03:33:28 : Primary - Disconnected It connects, then tries to stream but for some reasons it fails, then bails out. Anyone's got a guess? |

I was getting same error... Check the stream name (below rtmp)... It should be a single word without spaces neither special characters...

Looks like it's a bug in FME? While we're at it, do you know of any other software which one could use to push a stream to a Flash Media Server? I'd like to take a stream from the net and push it to mogulus. I was looking into VideoLan, but it's not got a working RTMP output module yet. Thanks for the hint! |

Well, i was trying to figure it out... I tested sucessfully an elaborated method but it requieres so much ram and cpu so i give up... Try it, just for fun...
VLC Player: open stream and save locally as ASF ManyCam, CamTwist or WebCamMax: play de ASF as your webcam FME: encode your virtual webcam to Mogulus It's a mess but works... The progressive nature of the ASF let play while saving, a little wait for prebuffer will give some delay but it does the job. I beg your pardon for my poor english, spanish is my natural... |

Hi Keno,
I'm trying to find a way to go from Windows Media to Flash Media Server and am about to try the webcam programs you suggested. Did you make any further progress on this? I've been struggling with it for a bit. |
