When broadcasting from livestream website I get a lag of 4 sec on my channel.
However when I use procaster I get a lag of 16 sec. What exactly am I doing wrong? How can I reduce the lag in procaster to 3 seconds or less?? aerolabucf,
A delay on your stream of up to 10 seconds is perfectly normal when broadcasting, however this can vary depending on your computer specs and broadband connection. What speed is your CPU processor? Procaster is a processor intense program, which may cause a decrease in performance if your CPU is underpowered.

I am using an I3 Intel processor @2.40GHz
Image attached shows my internet speed. I have a really good internet connection, shouldn't the lag be substantially lower? One more question, From all the video and audio settings how can I configure them to give me the less lag as possible? that is my ultimate goal with my broadcast it doesn't matter if it is at the expense of video and/or audio quality. So what would be the ideal bitrate, framerate, output resolution, format... to achieve this goal Thanks in advance |

aerolabucf,
Procaster encodes in a way such that there will always be additional delay as opposed to Studio and Webcaster. If you wanted to stick with Procaster, you could try lowering your bit rate and resolution for slight improvements, but using Studio or Webcaster would create the most noticeable difference.
