I tried to stream .mkv files through Windows Media Player Classic and only the audio goes through on procaster. I can watch just fine but my viewers get a black screen with audio only.
They're higher definition videos and if I play them in Windows Media Player, they get really distorted but they do stream the both the audio and video in Windows Media Player. What can I do to fix this? |

I can't find anything about overlays or video acceleration in Windows Media Player Classic Options menus. The only thing I could find was setting something to "Overlay Mixer" under "Output"

Have you attempted to playback your video with VLC? This is the program we typically recommend, rather then WMP, as it is able to playback a wider range of videos.

I downloaded VLC and whenever I open up my video files in it, I get a bunch of grey pixelation and some snippets of audio for a few second before I get an error message "vlc.exe has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution."
However, I can play my other videos in VLC just fine. Just the 720p .mkv videos it refuses to play. |

try each setting (outlined in the red box) and see if the video is captured.
the settings in the screen shot work for me using the Haali renderer. im using MPC version 1.5.2.3456. |
