You will need to have Java installed on your computer to import properly. You can test your java version here:
http://javatester.org/version.html

If you do not have it installed, you can get it here:
http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

If you are still having trouble, please let us know what operating system you are using.

Best,
Jason

NoahFence,

You will first need to install Java on your computer. Java is not installed by default on Mac OS X Lion.

Then, you will need to take the following steps:
-Open your Applications folder -->Utilities --> Java Preferences
-Select Enable Applet Plug-in within the Java Preferences

After this, please restart your computer. You should be able to import videos from YouTube.

Best,
Jason

Unhappy still nothing

when i try to update java it says that apple supplies its own version of java, and my software update is still completely up to date. No luck yet. Really frustrating that this doesn't work at all.

thehubya,

I've merged your post with a similar thread which might give you a solution. If not, please let us know [and also tell us which browsers you are having difficulty with].

Best,
Jason

It's the same here. May be something to do with Safari - whatever, the request for the module to run never appears, no matter what security level you have selected. This is actually very frustrating, as I've had to resort to prising open on old and not very good Windows machine in order to achieve anything with the Youtube import - it seriously needs looking at.

If you're having difficulty importing youtube clips on Safari or Chrome, give the import a shot using Firefox. That may work as a temporary work around.

Unhappy Same Java issue

I am also experiencing this issue - identical symptoms to those described in the latest version of Safari, Lion and Java. Is there an ETA on a fix? Thanks!

Doesn't matter which browser you use - it just won't work.
