Default MAC Lion

Today MAC Lion released, but this breaks the ability to stream from your desktop on the mac. You will only see a big black rectangle and only the mouse cursor if enabled.

Sorry for the inconvenience but for now, if you want to stream the desktop on a mac, you need to have snow leopard or leopard installed.

"Need to have version before install?" What does that mean?

Well I guess I'll just have to be patient for an update.

tsitra360,

What Ronald is referring to by "version before" is the previous OS, Snow Leopard.

There was a change in the structure of Mac OS X - Lion that affects Procaster's ability to capture the screen. Our developers are currently working on a solution to this problem. Unfortunately, we do not have a time frame for the fix so downgrading to Snow Leopard or using Procaster on a Windows computer will be the best option in the meantime if screen capture mode is required.

Default Perhaps email?

This is only a suggestion. Send out an email alert to Livestream broadcasters about OS X Lion being incompatible with Procaster at this point. I appreciate the developers are working hard in bringing Procaster running on Lion. Hopefully we will get a time frame soon.

Well, as a workaround at the moment, you can use CamTwist as a virtual camera to get around this issue. And Soundflower to grab audio, too.

I got CamTwist and Soundflower to work, but how do you make that work with Livestream?

Livestream still draws its green box on my desktop even though I select the CamTwist video source, and crashes soon after I start the preview.
