Default Procaster fails to start

I just reinstalled procaster on my desktop an I keep getting this message:

C:/program files/procaster/procaster.exe

This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

I have installed and reinstalled the program several times.

What version of Procaster are you using, and what is your OS?

Best,
Jason

We have updated Livestream Procaster with crashing webcams, if you start it up, and it crashes, start it up again, and you should get a messages that some Webcams are disabled.

You can get the version from here: http://www.livestream.com/forum/show...6066#post26066

Default Procaster Failed to start

I have genned up a dedicated computer to run our livestream events. It is a Core 2 extreme with a nvidia 295 video card running a completely fresh install of XP Pro sp3 after reformatting the HD. I installed my webcam drivers, upgraded MSIE to 8, but other than that, it is clean as a whistle.

I went to the download page for the latest version which is 2.0.2.69, downloaded it and tried running it. It says This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

I have uninstalled it, rebooted, then re-installed it 5 separate times. before the last time, I updated the VC2008 like you suggested to another with no joy.

My camera is a Rocketfish HD Webcam Pro. The Live Central software is the latest version from their website (2.2.14.0). The computer is a Dell Precision 390. Any help?

I have lots of experience running Procaster on my other machines (all Win 7/64) so I don't think I am boning something obvious, but you never know...

Thanks.

vhctaylors, can you send in your log files to procaster@livestream.com you can save your log files the following way:
- Click on Start → Run → "%HOMEPATH%\Local Settings\Application Data\" (with or without the quotes, this doesn't matter)
- Then right click on the Procaster folder → Send to → Compressed (zipped) folder
- Attach the compressed folder to the email.

vhctaylors, can you confirm it didn't get blocked? We didn't receive anything.
