This feature is currently not available, will have this in our future developments.Mean while, you can use the seek method to seek to the specified time for on-demand clips only.
Please review the following link for additional information:http://static.livestream.com/chromelessPlayer/v12/doc/ Regards Alok |

Just interested in whether there are any updates on this request - I'd love to be able to link to a specific time in a livestream video too. Thanks!

This is now possible. Simply add the "&time=xx" parameter at the end of the video URL, with 'xx' representing the time (in seconds) where you'd like to start the video. For example, if you'd like your clip to start at 1:22, you'd add the following parameter: &time=82 Best, Jason |

It appears that with a custom player the function seek(pos:number) could be used to create pseudo chapter markers. Can this be done with the default player as well?
I would like to give our viewers the opportunity to navigate to specific points in the video through an index of links below the video. Thanks! |

scadelearning,
By adding '&time=sec' at the end of a link to a direct clip, you can have the clip begin at that exact point. The 'sec' should be replaced with the time in seconds. The example I've included below will open your clip at the 5 minute mark. http://www.livestream.com/scadelearn...624c6&time=300

That is absolutely helpful when needing to clip off the beginning of a lecture intro and I see how it can be used to create chapter like navigation. However that seems terribly inefficient to call and load the video each time a chapter link is clicked, no?
There is obviously mechanisms within your platform to access and utilize this specific information. It would be great if you could investigate this function and its implementation in a future release of your API. Thank you again for the information. It has been useful in many cases so far. Much appreciated. |
