Default Can't Connect with FME to LiveStream

Sup.
I just started here a few minutes ago.
And I'm trying to connect with Flash Media Encoder to Livestream, and it's not recording the feed to my channel.
Instead, FME keeps restarting and disconnecting, and I want to know what I'm doing wrong.
I followed the instructions on the FME tutorial page and it's still happening btw.
Any help, please?

P.S. Also, I heard you put "Stream" in the Stream section of FME, but is there anything else I should be putting?
Go easy. I'm new here.

TheJaYzRhYMeZ,

Please make sure you have "isAutoLive=true" at the end of your RTMP URL. However since you said that it's connecting and disconnecting it could be a network issue. Could you please go to speedtest.net and provide us with the results if setting auto live to true doesn't work.

Thanks,
Matt

May you explain the whole setup process for FME. Because, I don't understand why it says it "Connect," but my stream footage doesn't appear.

The setup is as described in the User Guide, one thing that could be happening is you might be encoding above the 500kbps limit on free channel and it's not connecting.

http://www.livestream.com/userguide/...ith_Livestream

rtmp://publish.livestream.com/mogulus/[your_channel]/username=[username]/password=[password]/isAutoLive=[true|false]

Quote:
Replace info (remove the brackets):
[your_channel] with your channel name [your_username] with your username [your_password] with your password

NOTE: your password may not contain special characters. Only letters and numbers are allowed.

Set isAutoLive=true if you want the feed to go live on your channel immediately bypassing the need to cue the camera and press record in the Studio.
Set isAutoLive=false if you simply want the feed to appear as a camera in your Livestream studio and manually control it when you cue it and go live from the studio. By doing this the Flash Media Encoder signal will show up as "External Feed" in the cameras menu and you will be able to add graphic overlays and use the studio as if it is a separate camera.

Okay. This is getting on my nerves. I put my channel name, username, and password exactly how you put it in the guide, so why is it reconnecting and disconnecting?
And what do I put for the stream key?

Please, people. Can you be more specific as to what I need to do. You said the highest I could cast was 500 kbps, correct? So, what's going on? I tried 500 kbps, and it's still not working.

There has to be either something I'm doing wrong, or something I'm not being told.

May someone just please find out my FMS URL. I really want to stream my content. Other sites either have bad user interfaces, or just lack of advertisement. I really see potential here. That's why I'm striving to get this to work.

Just as a test, try with Procaster. That will determine whether it's something about your FMLE setup or the connection in general. Also, if possible, try Livestream Studio without Procaster, etc as another test.

Try targeting a lowest quality setting. Again this is just a test but please do it to help target where the issue might be.

What I'm confused about is why is there no down-loadable XML file from Livestream?
I'm only comfortable live streaming if FME is involved because that's where my previous experience lies.
And also, how do I make the Procaster recognize FME?

BTW, I can stream just fine using the program, but not FME. If that helps.

Sorry for double posting, but. This is what I put for the FMS URL

rtmp://publish.livestream.com/mogulus/JaYzRhYMeZ/username=TheJaYzRhYMeZ/password=***********/isAutoLive=True

is this correct? the username is my login name, right? or no?

what about the stream key? Do I need to put anything specific there? Because no offense, nothing in that guide is really making this any less confusing right now.

I NEED to use FME to live stream.

SORRY FOR TRIPLE POST.

Okay, I tried lowering the bitrate like you said, I think. And I'm finally getting a feed through FME.
Apparently, I seem to not be able to stream at 500 kbps even though I'm on a 5 mbits up connection. I guess that's the limit of the site?
I will continue to work with different settings to see what works and what doesn't work.
