Change Username?

Any idea how to change username? In old player username displays when user connects to LS.

Hi,

I am finding it difficult to change my username/loginname. Livestream is not allowing it and support people are also not ready to change my account settings at their end.

It is strange for LS that such trivial things are missing and are out-of-control of the user.

Does any one know of any way to do it? Atleast LS support ppl should change it after getting the request.

That's because......

1) LiveStream doesn't allow it AND
2) LiveStream also doesn't plan on supporting it (I don't know of a website that does either!)

No it's not. That's the norm on ANY website

the only way i'm able to change it is by going into the STUDIO where the option is still there

Usernames and Short Channel Names cannot be changed. I'd recommend transitioning to the new Livestream Player - the username is no longer displayed upon connection.

You can't change your user name. What you can do is start a new account and then transfer ownership of your channels under your user name to be retired to your new username.

Log out of your livestream OLD username.
Use "sign up" to create a NEW viewer user name. (you don't need to make a new channel)
Sign back in with your old username and go to studio.
Click on the "configure channel" tab of studio then "manage team" on the red bar below the tabs.

Add your NEW username as a camera operator.

Logout of studio and then back in using your NEW username.
From then on, you can just login using your new username. With the new user name you can do everything EXCEPT add more camera operators or configure your channel. To fix that, log in with your old username and trasfer ownership of the channel to the new username.

I opened a test account, but cannot replace with real account. I cant do anything without a reasonable user name. problem is tie to email address. I just want to start over.
