Default Streamed Video shows up a black screen?

Livestream works perfectly for me when I'm live. People can see my desktop, see my windows, and hear sound.... when I stream videos, however, all they see is a black square where the video should be (and I see a black square in the preview on the bottom left of my desktop as well). I've tried VLC, WMP (12? I LOATH this version), WMP Classic, and Power DVD to play them. Winamp, so far, has been the only thing to play movies through Livestream properly, BUT it wont play DVDs.

I run a Gateway desktop XP Sp3 and an HP laptop Vista 64x SP1 and they BOTH have this issue. As far as I know both run The Combined Community Codec Pack and all my video drivers are up to date. And I know I haven't touched any settings in Livestream.

I'm really not sure when this started as my friends and I don't use the stream very often and I go live even less, but this has pretty much crippled any chance of me hosting a movie now.

This kind of stuff is usually gfx card related. Try changing some of the settings on your graphics card(s). Its difficult to say which settings since there are so many cards, but I would start there.

What... sort of settings? And why is this issue happening to TWO different brands of graphic cards (Nvidia and ATI) on two different computers suddenly for no apparent reason? There's only so many things I can change, if at all.

Please open a support ticket at Livestream for the Procaster issue. I'm sure they will try to help you.

In the mean time, have you tried converting your files and uploading them to the studio instead of streaming them from your desktop?

I've had this happen with one of my XP machines once. If support hasn't given you details yet, you should look in your advanced settings of your GPU. As David notes, it's hard to know which settings. In my case I found lowering one of the performance settings fixed it.
