I cannot participate in my chat. Everytime I pull it up only a white screen and a blue question mark shows up. It told me to update, I have over 5 times already and nothing is happening!

I assume you mean chat in Procaster?
If it's Procaster include OS version and the EXACT version of Procaster. Are you using beta 20.0.75? |

Quote:
The reason this occurs in the latest version of Procaster is because it now uses the Webkit version of Flash (Safari, Firefox, Chrome) not the IE version. Please replace your installation of flash using one of the alternative browsers to restore Chat in Procaster. To replace Flash: Flash Unistaller:*http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_1415...?promoid=DTEGO Latest Version of Flash:*http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Just confirming that it works.
Start Safari. Go to Adobe uninstaller link and run (quit Safari). Start Safari go to Adobe Flash Player installer site and run (quit Safari). Reboot system (I prefer doing that after such installs). Chat Promote Player all now appear in current Procaster beta. This may need to be in FAQ. |

My chat refuses to work even after uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe many times over. I still get the blue question mark.
I am using v20.0.75 of the Procaster on Windows Vista. |

The chat isn't working for me either. I don't get any kind of weird colour screen though. In ProCaster, I simply click the "Go Live" button after which the chat tab will pop up, but it simply keeps on loading. It never actually connects. The show seems to work, but if the chat isn't working there's little use in it for me.

If you only have IE8 installed try installing either FireFox, Chrome or Safari and do the following:
Start non IE8 browser. Go to Adobe uninstaller link Henry posted above and run (quit browser). Start non IE8 browser again and go to Adobe Flash Player installer site Henry posted above and run (quit browser). Reboot system (I prefer doing that after such installs). Start non IE8 browser and quit. Start Procaster 20.0.75. Yes it's a strange set of steps but I think IE8 is playing a role in this so please do try the above and post back. |
