You do not need any kind of business model to verify your channel. This link will explain what it takes to get verified, as well as our reason for having the verification system in place:

Hey Henry, was wondering I still have not been able to get my channel verified I keep getting the same message as mentioned above. My channel is small I do have a Banner, Logo, Autopilot, VOD and I have have like 72,000 viewer mins. I do realize my channel is going to be small(25-250max-viewers concurrent)and I will have maybe 12 hours of live show per month. Wondering what else can I do to get verified, I do not want to reapply again, until I know what else I need to do to.
I have read the criteria thing several times-there has to be something I am missing. Any help I would be grateful.

We have bought our radio premium account and we are prodcasting as we speak. However, we still can't have more than 50 listeners. What is this, the premium wasn't cheap and now it isn't even working?! We also sent verification even though you clearly say in your FAQ that we shouldn't need that because we bought premium. How will this be fixed?

When you purchase a Premium plan, you must manually apply the plan to your desired channel (many of our users have multiple channels). To make your channel Premium, please take the following steps:
- Log into your account
- Go to the https://secure.livestream.com/myaccount/channels
- Next to the desired channel click MORE
- Click move to plan
- Select the Premium plan and confirm the changes

Your channel would have a greater chance to be approved for verification if you added some video on-demand and auto-pilot programming. Once these have been added, feel free to reapply for verification.
