We do not support Hauppauge devices at this point, but a possible work-around would be to use the software provided by Hauppauge along with Procaster in screen mode. You can limit the Procaster screen selection to the Preview window on Hauppauge software and simply select "speaker's audio" in Procaster's audio mixer.

Exclamation Re: Hauppage HD PVR

I tried to do it but the application crashed. Why and how can I prevent this from happening?

Procaster crashed? Were you using the same device?

It would be great if it could work! I don't think anythings work quite well with hauppauge hd-pvr (i have one) You have to use like 3 differents programs to make it work... So if livestream would work, it would be a blast!

If livestream doesn't hauppauge devices, is there any forecast in the future for a planned venture into this?

Or are you guys to planning to not support it indefinitely?

Hey ragnarok415, we don't have any current timeline on when we might support Hauppage devices. However I'll be happy to bring this thread to the attention of our development team.

Best,
Jason

Post Hauppauge HD PVR: Certified Device?

Hi, I use the Hauppauge HD PVR to stream live and It's okay, but I would I think I would be able to stream at a higher rate if I could stream from the capture device directly. At the moment, no Hauppauge devices are supported by Livestream Procaster.
One reason why my stream can be "laggy" sometimes, is that I have to have Total Media Extreme (HD PVR recording software) open while I'm streaming. This can slow down my computer, therefore making the streaming worse quality. I hope the Livestream Support Team sees this, because I (and others) want the Hauppauge HD PVR capture device to become certified device.
Thank you.
