Question about re-importing a video...

I noticed that after importing any video from my computer, youtube or web server, the imported video is a tiny bit more grainy then the original. My question: If for some reason a video or parts of it where not fully or correctly imported, and I decide to re-import it again, will that mean additional quality loss??? Its just something I am not sure about so I would like to put this question forward. Thanks.

Make sure you click the "Use Uploaded file as Master" option in the Import area. After its done, click on Video Information and you can see the difference from the Original file to the FLV file it was converted to.
