Recording Procaster Video at Live event

Been using Procaster to record the screenshot footage at our live events and so far it has worked like a champ.

Essentially, we setup procaster preferences to dump the flash video to the hard drive from the laptop we are presenting. For the audio, we take an output from the amp we are using with the lavalier microphone directly into the sound card of the laptop.

Works great, but the audio can seem a little distorted. Almost like there is too much signal. Any ideas on a way to get cleaner audio? thanks
