Hello,
Since a few days I've been constantly experiencing crashes of Flash when trying to watch Livestream channels. I use windows Vista and have tried viewing in Google Chrome 3, FireFox 3, Safari 4 and Internet Explorer 8. Flash doesn't crash when watching YouTube video's or the flash movie on Abobe's site. I have already tried several solutions suggested at the Google Chrome forum, all without success. Since it only seems to happen with Livestream, I was hoping maybe someone here could help out. |

Seems to have started Oct 27th.
All six comuters, 4 with vista 2 withXP are having this problem. All using IE (the only browser installed) IE reports that the browser has crashed the allows me to restart the instance, which it does sucessfully. MS error reporting recomended installing the latest version of Flash, which I already had. Then it recomended running the uninstaller and re-installing flash. Which I just did yesterday. Crashes happen after a half hour or so when running Webcaster, Procaster or a player. Studio and FME3 both seem OK, as does YouTube (which are all to short to cause a problem) or playing entire movies on HuLu (which does not crash) |

Hi Tallasseetimes,
Encountering these crashes across multiple computers all running Internet Explorer sounds like a browser related issue. Which version of IE are you currently running? You may also wish to download the following Adobe Flash Uninstall Application: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html 1. Uninstall Flash. 2. Restart your computer. 3. Download and install the latest version. The uninstaller will perform a full uninstall of the active-x control. Keep us updated. Best, Rick Stern Producer Support |

I have tried the uninstall/reinstall of Flash and that did nothing.
I am on a Mac and do not use Internet Explorer. I have tried using both Safari and Firefox. Both lock up during LiveStream video and chat sessions. It worked when I first logged in today for about 5 minutes but now when I go to view a stream it locks up. Please help. Thanks. |

Just adding a "me too" to this thread. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit version with 8GB RAM. I admit being a first-time user but I am not new to A/V broadcasting on the Web. Something is definitely broken here and I believe it may be due to Adobe's recent release of a Flash (security) update last week.
By the way, telling people to install an older version of Flash is not an answer. You should never tell your customers to revert to earlier versions of anything. It's the software developer's job to stay current - admittedly, not an easy job. |
