I'm planning to get a Matrox MXO 2 I/O device for my HD-SDI and HDMI input.
I don't know and am not sure if the MXO2 will work with the system. Anyone has the device and try it with livestream.com? |

I have a MXO2 Mini, and it works. I believe the "big brother" should work as well.

Is it working only with a Mac or is it working on PC as well? It doesn't even show up as a selectable device in Procaster for me. On PC.

I have a Matrox MXO2LE with SDI etc... it works fine with procaster as well as other livestream serivces on my Macbook but when I was testing it on a PC we couldn't get the device to be recognized at all and it seems like for whatever reason the device isn't supported by PCs at all for livestreaming... fairly frustrating and ridiculous in my opinion but thats life.
I'm not sure if matrox has updated anything in the last couple of months but that was the case as of approx march 2011. |

Any advice for a hardware encoder beside Teradek Cube family?
I want to use the video feed from the avMixer into HW encoder and then into my laptop (through Podcaster or Wirecast) for adding logos and graphics and then streaming to livestream. i need the hardware encoder for lowering the "stress" on the cpu. Any advise will be appreciated. Thank You. |

If you are plugging your device into the computer, Wirecast or Procaster would still be doing the encoding. The Livestream Studio has some basic functionality for graphics in terms of a channel bug and lower thirds, so I recommend exploring that option. Another idea would be to invest in a streaming computer (rather than a hardware encoder) and then use Wirecast to stream. If a TriCaster is in your budget, this is an option as well. Best, Jason |

Has anyone been able to get the MXO2 to capture video on Procaster on a PC?
I have a MXO2 LE that shows up in the drop-down list in Procaster but does not let me select a video input. It does not show up in the audio list either. It works fine on Macs... Last edited by alterdavidj; 22nd March 2012 at 15:18. |

alterdavidj,
At this time, Matrox MX02 devices are in an experimental support phase for Procaster Windows, whereas they are Certified on Procaster Mac. For more information please refer to the response to your support ticket.
