Stream without Game or Screen?

Is there any way to stream JUST the video from your camera instead of being forced to choose Game or Screen? I know that I can use Flash Media Encoder, but the problem with that is I can't see how many viewers I have and what their chat comments are. I need a way to be able to check the viewers and their chat comments while I'm in a game without having to minimize.

if you choose screen mode, your primary option would be camera. you could simply never switch to screen view. is that what you meant, or did I misunderstand you question?
