Deleting recordings from the computer

I would like to know why on earth I can't remove my recordings. And no, I don't want to hear any of that "remove your recordings from the storyboard" crap, I want to delete the videofiles from my computer, not from my channel. I just don't understand, how can this be so hard? Seriously, who would ever think that it's good idea to prevent users from deleting their videofiles?

Easy enough go to your video files on your computer and find the shows(recordings) and delete them, I do this time to time to make room on my hard drive. What kind of computer do you have?

It doesn't let me. When I try to delete them, it says that I don't have rights to do it, although I'm administrator. I unfortunately have Windows Vista.

Can you try renaming the file to a much shorter file name then attempt to delete it again?
