Question Livestream.com and New.Livestream.com ???

So, are livestream.com and new.livestream.com completely separate entities???

It's VERY confusing to say the least. My logins are different. I have a channel on the, I assume, original livestream.com and that seems to have nothing to do with the profile I created on new.livestream.com. Heck, I can't even figure out how to broadcast on the new site. I can create new events and that seems to be about it. Whatever that does. Does Procaster work with the new site?

Can someone tell me if there's any advantage to "moving" to new.livestream.com?
I am seriously at a loss as to how the two tie together, if at all.

Thanks,
Matt

Hello Matt,

Livestream is currently offering 2 separate platforms
1) Original Livestream: https://secure.livestream.com/myaccount/channels
2) New Livestream: http://new.livestream.com .

I would suggest you to review this link to understand the differences between the 2 platforms: http://help.livestream.com/customer/...ew-livestream-

You cannot use the Procaster software to broadcast live onto the New platform. You would need the Livestream for Producers software to be able to broadcast live onto the New platform. You can refer this link for step by step instructions to broadcast live onto the New platform:

Okay, so apart from the domain name, they are essentially completely different and separate services. That's what it was seeming like. Thanks for confirming.

I'll have to play with the new platform to see if I can use it like I do the original platform.

Thanks!
