How to choose video snapshot?

Is it possible to change the screenshot of a video I upload for Video on Demand. Livestream selects random shots and I'd like to really be selective about what the viewer first sees before they select the video....

I know of no way to change the thumbnail. It would be an interesting Feature Request though. Please go to Feature Request forum and make the suggestion for user selectable thumbnail.

I want to know if there have been more recent news on this topic.
I ma trying to find the way of selecting my own screen shot from the on demand videos, when they are no playing, I have tried the: http://xproshowcasex.api.channel.livestream.com

but I don´r think that the correct way.

I anyone knows how to, please share the knowledge!

At this time we currently do not offer a way for users to select their own thumbnail and unfortunately we do not have a ETA when or if this is something we'll offer in the near future.

Livestream seems to just pick a random image from your video to use as the snapshot sample of the video. Does anyone know how to choose what image (from your video) will be shown as the video snapshot?

I know YouTube and other site lets you scrub through the video and pick a still image to use to represent the video. Is this not possible?

Hey Kounterclockwise. Thumbnail images are randomly generated at this time. I'll pass your request on to our development team. In the meantime, if you're unhappy with a thumbnail image, a possible fix would be to download your clip and then re-upload.

This is pretty important to us. Our streams are all topic-based and right now it's very hard to see at a glance what is what. In fact, the thumb is misleading because it shows a credit page with just one of our names on it.

Any updates on when this might be a feature?

Hi Paul, not a Livestream employee, but just wanted to reply and say that is indeed possible on the New Livestream platform released earlier this year. I think that's what Henry_live meant by his "later this year" timeframe.
