Default Streams stalling out

I'm hoping i can get some help here. I built a flash as3 website that handles up to five streams at the same time, at least 4 at any one time. I built my own player and grabbed some RMTP streams for testing, not livestream, those worked great. Unfortunately livestream doesn't give you access to the raw streams so i had to utilize the livestream player.

Site URL:

I'm loading the livestream player swf and converting it to a bytearray to make up to five instances of it. I wrote my own wrapper for the player and have it listening for any of the error events the player sends out.

The site has four buttons on the left side that loads the stream for that button, the actual stream plays in the button. The issue i'm having is the buttons stall out at times, i see the spinner forever but no stream, doesn't show up until i click on the button to load the larger version of the video, then it seems to kick in the stream and loads both. This is not a consistent issue. I get no errors from the player and i'm listening for all the error events. I do get some errors loading the cross domain file and something else, listed below. I'm more then happy to share my code if someone thinks they may have an idea where to look.

The player keeps trying to load these over and over. I'm thinking it may have something to do with the issue. I either get an internal server error or bad request.

Couple of other issues about this player, it's almost 300k, i just need a barebones player, nothing else just needs to show the video, right now with all the streams running the site is using over 200megs of ram, it shouldn't be more then 60megs.

I also seem to be constantly loading these extra swfs as well, this is extra functionality we don't need, can get rid of these? It can't be good loading these over and over.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just hope i'm missing something stupid.

Niel,

I looked at your link and noticed that your are embedding 5 Live players, 4 of which are the left side navigation. Loading 5 flash players can use a lot of resources on a system when viewing the page. A more efficient option would be to utilize our Live thumbnail API to load images on the navigation. Instructions on using the Live Thumbnail API can be found here: http://www.livestream.com/userguide/..._Thumbnail_API

Here is an example of a Live thumbnail from your main channel: http://thumbnail.api.livestream.com/...activate&t=323
