Hi,
I'm going to be travelling and I need to livestream with my quad-core i7 laptop. My laptop seems to be performing the sin of occasionally having a high cpu usage -- procaster is punishing me by automatically shutting down and telling me my computer is too slow. "Your computer cpu is not able to endcode at the desired quality, etc etc" Is there a way to turn this *wonderful* feature OFF? Or should I switch back to Adobe Flash Media Encoder? Thanks, Alex |

Blue_Star,
Could you please let us know which encoding preset you're attempting to stream with and the following specs on your system: CPU, RAM, Video Card Operating System Procaster version - click italics "i" in upper right-hand corner of preferences menu Results of a test run at newyork.speedtest.net Matt Livestream Support |

Guessing by your response, there's no way to turn this wonderful feature off.. I guess I'm going back to Adobe Flash Media Encoder. Thanks. |

Not at this time. If you're not running Procaster version 20.3 you should try it as this version has some performance improvements which may resolve the issue. Alternately you can reduce CPU load and prevent this from happening by reducing the resolution or number of qualities you encode.
