I have everything set at the lowest quality yet procaster keeps causing my CPU to max out and crashes itself after telling me to stop and lower the quality.
As far as I'm aware there's no other options to downgrade it. My laptop is only 3years old and should be able to cope with streaming It does with Join.me but there's no audio and the stream loads in blocks which isn't ideal for art streaming. Is there some way to get around this and stream? |

FireToIce,
Can you confirm that your laptop meets the recommended system specifications required to run procaster? http://www.livestream.com/userguide/...m_Requirements You can find the previous versions of procaster at the following links: http://www.livestream.com/userguide/?title=Mac_Release http://www.livestream.com/userguide/...caster_Release

It's unlikely that an extra GB of RAM would make a significant difference for you. More likely your processor is on the lower end of our recommended specs. For more direct troubleshooting feel free to open a support ticket including your full system specs.
As a quick solution you could try lowering the resolution or framerate in Procaster settings which will reduce CPU load or try an older version of Procaster which may not be as CPU intensive as the current version, though in general if the issue is your CPU we recommend using the latest version on a higher powered machine.
