finding the camera

Hi, Im a novice at this, so sorry if its a really stupid question, but here goes. I have a camera in a birdbox, which is plugged into my PC via a video capture card. When I launch livestream procaster its not finding the camera. How do I configure it to find the camera? Its picking up another camera which is not used.

Which capture device are you using? Not all capture devices will be detected by Procaster. We recommend using Black Magic's line of capture devices, many of which can be found in our store: store.livestream.com

As a temporary work around, if you can view the feed from your capture device on a media player, you can use Procaster in screen capture mode to push your media player's playback to your channel.

Hi, Im using picolo eurecard junior 4. My mistake, procaster is recognizing the card, but Im not getting any pictures from it even though its working. I can get a picture from it using other software.

Unfortunately we have not tested with this device and it is not officially certified for use with Livestream Procaster. I'd suggest using a program such as Flash Media Live Encoder, or purchasing one of the certified capture devices found in the Livestream store, here:
