http://www.livestream.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9717

Release Notes:

*Note to all Capture Device users:
There is an issue with Livestream Procaster selecting the correct default frame rate for your incoming video. To ensure an accurate frame rate, which will give you accurate recordings and the smoothest streams, ensure that in the "Input Source" the correct frame rate and resolution is selected, when you have the correct frame rate selected you should see a miniature preview. Next, navigate to "Preferences", click the "Video" tab, and look for the "Device Rate" check box. Un-check this box, and use the "Target Frame Rate" drop down menu directly to the left and select the correct frame rate for your incoming video. Please note if you are using a 720p resolution, you will have to halve your frame rate. (i.e. for 59.94 fps you would have to set your frame rate to 29.97, for 50fps you would have to set your frame rate to 25 and for 60.00 fps you would need to select 30 fps). We expect a fix for this on Thursday.

Thanks for this but it was kinda hard to find. On the download page you should say, "If you are running mountain lion and encounter a black screen try the mountain lion beta: [link]

Thank you!

I've been having the issue when it would just shows a blank page of my screen as well. I do have a question about the program.

Would I need to uninstall the version I have first? Because I thought I would have to and discovered that they're isn't an uninstall link on my version. I'm using 20.3.OM.

If I do need to uninstall it, how do I do it?

It is not necessary to uninstall, however if you wanted to do so you would have to drag the Procaster icon into the trash and empty the trash bin.

I followed the instruction on how to delete the old program and reinstalled 20.3.8. It looks like it's working. Thank you so much! =)

The FPS drop in this version is horrendous for me. From the stable non-beta 20.3.6 release where I had stable 30 fps at all times at 600x350 resolution it went to 8-15 FPS in this beta 20.3.8 and I HAVE to use it because in the previous stable version, having upgraded the system to Mountain Lion the screen is blacked out.

Exclamation Audio Problems

The new 20.3.8 Beta seems to come with audio problems and occasionally shows a black screen during recording sessions. Although a quick reinstall fixes the black screen issue, no audio is being recorded, even with the "Audio Speaker" option being an available source. "Built Input" used to be a working option, but that doesn't resolve anything either.

I've scoped out other threads with similar problems, with this "solution" that hasn't fixed anything thus far:

-----
"Please follow these steps:

- Open Finder
- Press Shift+Cmd+G
- When the Go To Folder window appears, type /System
- In the System folder, navigate to the Library folder, then Extensions folder
- Move ProcasterAudioRedirector32 (or LivestreamAudioRedirector) to the trash
- Move the Procaster application to the trash
- Clean out the trash bin
- Reboot your machine
- Install Procaster from this forum thread

Let me know if that solves the issue."
-----

So far, recording the desktop works just fine, it is just the audio that will not work, the mic however works just fine. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Brandar- we responded to your support ticket. We need additional information from your end to discover the source of the issue.

Miryuu- have you checked the audio mixer to ensure Speaker's Audio is selected as an input source after you re-installed Procaster?

I'm having the same exact problem as Miryuu (same hardware and OS). For me, the Audio Speaker option is not even available. I tried what was suggest here (http://www.livestream.com/forum/show...78&postcount=4), but still no luck.
