Hello. The name's Sera, and I'm new to streaming.
I've read through the rules about copyright infringement, but I unfortunately don't understand it too well and/or couldn't find the direct answer that I was looking for. My question is: Am I allowed to stream with music playing in the background? The music in question is played via YouTube, I don't hold the rights to them. Just want to know so I don't go and immediatly get myself banned. In case I am not allowed to do the previously noted, are there alternative and approved ways to play music on the stream? |

I suggest contacting takedown@livestream.com if you would like further clarification on our Terms of Use.

Regardless of what the policy states, what you're talking about is a very common practice, and I've heard no complaints about people getting banned for it. I often watch art streams (though I watch them muted) that have the artist's music playing in the background.
If you do contact Livestream regarding this and receive official word on it, please feel free to post it here for the rest of us. Thanks! |
