Unhappy Audio problems with game mode

I've tried to stream both using 20.2.0 and 20.2.64 Beta and I have the same problem where as soon as Procaster starts capturing the game, the audio starts to get extremely distorted before cutting out across my entire computer. These are my audio settings, I have the Realtek HD Audio Codecs installed as well as the Microsoft drivers for my Turtle Beach headset.

I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1 with an AMD Athlon II X4 640, EVGA GTX 460 768MB, 4GB of 1333MHz DDR3 and a Western Digital Caviar Blue 320GB 7200RPM hard drive. All of this is on a Biostar A880G+ motherboard with all of the proper drivers installed.

For additional details this happens in all of the games I try seemingly at random, but it occurs the worst and most often in the Penumbra games and Half-Life 1. Any help would be appreciated and if any more information is needed I will try to provide it.

dropkickzebra,

Are you streaming using game mode or capturing your screen? Could you see if the issue persists if you try your broadcast with the headset unplugged, using the speakers instead?

I'm using game mode to capture video. On your advice I just tried to remove the headset and stream Penumbra again. The audio seemed fine except for a short moment of static before immediately returning to normal.

Another person on the site I stream for uses a Turtle Beach USB Headset and he seems to have the same problems as me with audio. Is there any reason in why the headsets are causing the audio problems? Is there any way to fix these issues short of buying a new headset?
