Location of livestream servers?

Hi,

I noticed today that my streaming kbps was around 400-700 today and that caused that stream was stopping every 5 second for 1-3 secs. Before I was able to stream like 1700 kbps (last week) and then stream was smoothly for viewers.

So when I run speedtest - what city I should use? I'm from Finland and I would like to know where is the nearest livestream server. if that isn't coffidental knowledge. My upload speed is ~20-40 mbps to nearest servers. I'm just trying to figure out will I be able to stream viewable material.

Is there limitations for free plan users?

You should run a speed test with the preferred server set to New York, NY.

There is a 500kbps limit in effect for free Livestream users, however this limit can be surpassed when streaming from Procaster. Please also ensure that your CPU isn't maxed out when streaming.

Seems that my connection has a bad day... Or there is again some hurricane in atlantic ocean :P

Does that surpassing mean that I can still use 1700 kbps with procaster? If my connection is able to upload that ofc

This is correct. You are allowed to stream at 1700kbps with Procaster.

i am from israel and would like to use end to end encoder and decoder streaming to broadcast
live event to a big video screens located far from the event

my questions:

a. what is the best encoding/decoding system?

b. do livestream have servers in this area. do they use american servers? if so, that might be very slow.

At this time all streams must be published to our servers in New York, NY. We recommend encoding with our proprietary encoding software, Procaster. I'd suggest running a test at speedtest.net with your destination set to New York, NY to better gauge your upload bandwidth to our servers.
