Using a still image when no input is selected

Hi,

my question is quite simple:

is it possible to insert a still image on the player when nothing is played through the studio or procaster (no camera or other input)? The goal is to automaticly display a chosen picture when procaster is offline and get rid of the basic test pattern.

ZEturf,

The way to accomplish this is to screen-capture your desired image with Procaster. You'll need to do the following:
-Set Procaster to "Preview Only" mode. Zoom in on your desired image, and stop the preview stream when your zoom is properly set.
-Point Procaster to your channel, and Go Live for 10 to 60 seconds.
-Stop and save the stream to your Livestream channel.
-You will then insert this recording into your channel's auto-pilot section, which will be displayed whenever you are offline.

We're going to be streaming an all-day music event, with 10 artists per day. We'd like to stop our live feed during the band's load out / in, and just display an art card that says "we'll be right back," or some pre-recorded video promos.

Would Studio be the best way to do this? I.E. switch between a live feed and static art card.
Or are we better off continuing to send the static card from our live feed?

I'm just worried about streaming for 8 hours continuously, especially burning unneeded disk space. Would also be harder to break up the individual performances.

You can show a Test Card: load an image in Studio under "Configure Channel -> Style Channel" tab, then show it when you want under "Broadcast Live -> Branding" tab.

Alternatively, you can load a short video (something like 10 minutes) and cue it when you need.
