"On Demand" videos disappearing?

Old On Demand videos have been disappearing from a friend's account without him deleting them. They were definitely saved a month or so ago when I viewed them. Is there any way to retrieve them, and is there any way to prevent this in the future?

This may've happened as a result of our new storage cleanup policy. Please review the following link:

This also may have happened if your friend surpassed the storage limit for a free Livestream account. Free Livestream accounts are limited to 10GB of storage; each GB beyond that costs $1.50. If your friend had over 10GB of content stored in his channel, and didn't enter a valid method of payment, then his content could've been deleted
