Unhappy Lag while streaming games.

It seems that when I livestream (whether it's desktop or game mode), it tends to lag horridly. I have tried a couple different things that could have lowered the % of how much CPU it uses but it does not changed significantly. The CPU usage ranges from 90-110 and makes my computer very slow.

The system info :

Processor Information:
Vendor: GenuineIntel
Speed: 2000 Mhz
2 logical processors
2 physical processors

Operating System Version:
Windows Vista (32 bit)
NTFS: Supported
Crypto Provider Codes: Supported 323 0x0 0x0 0x0

Video Card:
Driver: Radeon X1650 Series

The games that I want/try to stream are :
Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst
Terraria
Team Fortress 2
Super Mario bros. X
Spiral Knights
Alien Swarm
Amnesia
Maplestory
Minecraft

Any help is greatly appreciated.

It seems like your system is a bit outdated, could you give us the type of processor? Like i5, i7, core 2 duo.... and at what quality you're trying to stream.

What might help is to disable local recordings to your hard drive.

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 4400 @ 2.00GHz, 2000 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)

I try to stream at the "Optimized Gaming Mode" or "High + Medium + Mobile".

SolxFusion,

With your current system you'd only be able to stream at normal quality.

Another question. Is there a way to lower my CPU while i stream? It does run a bit faster since I use the "normal quality" but the CPU usage is still pretty up there.

Other than closing other applications that are running you wouldn't be able to decrease the load on your CPU. I also spoke with our Procaster team and they said running Procaster and a game, even at normal would be taxing your current system.
