Default Livestream Studio Can't Detect Camera

Hi Guys,

I've been testing out the different methods of using Livestream.

I've successfully connected one camera to a macbook pro and another unsuccessfully to a mac desktop.

The desktop camera is recognised by Procaster but as I want additional DV cameras I have to go with studio. However studio can't detect the camera. I've swapped cameras and they both work fine on the macbook so all the settings are correct.

Totally stumped!

Thanks,

Colin

Hey Thinkhouse,

Not every camera's drivers are compatible with the Livestream Studio, which is built with Adobe Flash. However, you mentioned that Procaster is recognizing the camera. If you configure Procaster [i]not to go auto-live[/], then you can cue it through the Studio. It's possible to have one camera connected through the Studio and one connected through Procaster. You'd be able to mix them as your normally would through the Studio. Hopefully this solves your problem.

Best,
Jason

Default Upload straight from other Livestream channel...

I have two Livestream channels. Is it possible to upload recorded content from one channel to another for on-demand watching ? For example the way it is possible from youtube or someway else.

This isn't currently possible, dzassiklubi. You'll have to upload your videos the standard way, outlined here in our user guide:

Thanks for your concern, Jason. Did it that way, just with ~900MB files it takes a little bit of time

Thank you for your feedback. The feature for the ticker to move from left to right is currently on our feature request list.

Unhappy Livestream Studio Library

Hi,

I have configured my channel but cannot upload my videos from my computer. The screen with color lines not turning off and I will like to see my pre-recorded videos before going live.

What shall I do or am I doing some thing wrong? Please help!

Thanks

bethesdaministries,

I'm not sure if you've gone through this process, but you'll have to first upload your content to your Livestream Studio:
http://www.livestream.com/userguide/...wn_Video_Clips

And then add it to Video On-Demand:
http://www.livestream.com/userguide/...ideo_On_Demand

Best,
Jason
