Default Procaster and Boinx TV

Hi folks,

Is anyone out there using procaster for the Mac and Boinx TV? Boinx is a GREAT software based video mixing solution. BUT....

I can't figure out a way to get it to work with livestream. I want to be able to output the "Mix" of everything that I have in the Boinx Software to my live stream channel.

If anyone has done this, and would care to share how to configure the two to play nice together, I'd sure appreciate it!

Sincerely,

Michael

You can use CamTwist to point the BoinxTV output. Livestream Studio would then see CamTwist as a virtual camera.

Andrea,

Have you tried cseeman's suggestion above?

Alternately with Procaster, try using it's Screen utility to grab the video from Brocaster window. Be aware this may use lots of CPU/GPU resources so having a very powerful computer would be good.

BoinxTV to CamTwist to Studio should work fine though for video.

Michael did you solve your problem? I use cam twist as the go-between BoinxTV and Procaster. You can float the "live" window and then capture it with the cam twist screen capture. Procaster recognizes the cam twist capture as a camera source. Make sure all of your compression settings are the same or they will be compressed differently, that makes troubleshooting difficult if the video picture is iffy.

This is why I prefer Telestream Wirecast which can stream to Livestream directly.

Default BoinxTV to CamTwist to Webcaster

I am trying to upload to webcaster. When I choose CamTwist in the set up, it shows me what is coming through my DV camera, not what is showing on CamTwist. I am a teacher with no budget, so I can't subscribe to Procaster or purchase telestream. Any suggestions would be a great help.

Thanks!
Annamarie
