so i logged into my account today to be told your going to delete some of my videos at the end of the month because they have not been viewed ten times in six months.
no they probably havent, i have over 46 hours of video in my account and they stream on my web site and i've been using livestream since the days of mogulus back in 2008 and now i discover you want to delete every video i have unless i go thru a very long process to save each one. now 46 hours means i have a lot of videos and to go thru all of them and save each one in the list you gave me will take hours if not days. if i wanted to delete my videos i would do it my self, which i do on occasions to free up space. if you dont want people using livestream why dont you just close down because you make life extremly difficult for us free users. if you want people to use your pay version you need to be good to the free users and by the way everytime i think about upgrading you go and do something stupid like this deleting video nonsense and i decide once again livestream is NOT worth paying for if this is how it treats its customers. |

I'm sorry to hear of your displeasure of our new policy. It is meant to streamline our services and make the platform as a whole function better, by doing this we are hoping only the most relevant and meaningful content is stored on our servers. As long as you hit save in the storage cleanup tool none of your content will be deleted. You don't have to go through and watch it all, simply save or download your videos. It shouldn't take as long as you're thinking even if you do have a lot of content.

liliputkiosk,
If your videos were deleted through our Storage Cleanup Wizard, you should have been notified at the email address associated with your account, and also when logging into Livestream.com. Please verify that you've checked the email address associated with your Livestream account. If you feel that your videos were deleted in error or that you weren't properly notified, please open a support ticket to see if anything can be done. You can link back to this post for reference. I think there should be a way of choosing how you want to manage your videos. For example, Im running a birdbox stream for a school, and they dont want videos that are months old. Is there a way of setting a limit to the number of 5 hour videos that can be uploaded, so for example when a new one is uploaded it removes the oldest one? That would keep all of the videos on the stream up to date and current.

I think this would be a much better option, and you should give the user the option on whether to clean up videos with less than 10 views, or to start with the oldest videos first.

JustGLiTcH,
While there is currently no way to automatically delete oldest videos when a new one is uploaded, you can log into your Studio and manually delete unwanted videos from your library. You can learn more at the following URL: http://www.livestream.com/userguide/...ur_Storyboards
