Are you using the latest version of Procaster, RitaC? I recommend restarting your computer, and if that doesn't work, reinstalling Procaster. If that doesn't work, please let us know.

Default procaster connection issues

i have the latest procaster installed and runing on win 7 64bit machine dualcore intel pc with 2gb of mem and 1tb of hard drive space

i have procaster set to reconnect every 6 hours

this will run fine for days and then suddenly i get a flurry of " there is a problem with your internet connection " i try and reconnect and it tells me my username and password is wrong

this is not true , if i close procaster and reload it , it logs back in fine

then i have a random time between 30 seconds and a few mins before i get the " there is a problem with your internet connection " msg again

there is nothing else running on my network that uploads data , and as procaster will work flawlessly for days then crash out with that msg i dont see it as being a problem with my network or internet connection

im on vigin 20mb broadband wich has a healthy upload and download speed when i run tests at speed test upload on average is arround 0.64 and download is 58.14 mbits per second

so what is causing these issues

Virgin Broadband is mobile internet, correct? This is most likely causing the "disconnect" issue. Mobile internet is subject to fleeting drops and outages. Even if these drops occur only momentarily, they will still interrupt Procaster's connection to our servers. Also, running a speed test with mobile internet isn't wholly accurate, as users on your network/within your vicinity may be using the same bandwidth. It's best to stream for a wired connection, if possible.

As for your username/password issues, is this the only time they occur? I recommend sending your Procaster logs to procaster@livestream.com. Please include a link to this thread in the email.

To get your Procaster logs, open Procaster's preferences. Under the video tab, click "save logs" - this will save the logs to your desktop.

Default Same problems

I'm also having similar problems. I've tried restarting the computer and reinstalling procaster, but it keeps on saying procaster can't connect before I get to the screen that says "go live." Here are my speed test results.

JaredJHS,

Do your login credentials work to log into your account center? Could you please also provide a screen shot of the error if possible.

Thanks,
Matt
