Connection Problem?

I'm not entirely sure what's going on because I'm new to all this. I downloaded Procaster and that went just fine. So then it automatically opens itself up and it says something about main page and then says 'Testing Direct X'. It's been sitting there forever. What is Direct X and why is my computer not doing anything? Is my connection just too slow? Is there something wrong with my computer?

DirectX is a plugin that facilitates realtime media processing such as playing games etc. Were you able to get Procaster up and running?

No, I was never able to get it up. I tried it again today, same problem. I will try it again now and report back if something changes, but if not I'm still having the problem. Should I download it again? Or is something just wrong with my computer?

Good news. It worked this time. Not quite sure why it was being weird, but I did have EVERYTHING shut down, so I'll just make sure it is that way from now on.

Procaster is very CPU intensive, so if you have an old processor you may need to close out of other programs. I'm glad to hear that you got Procaster up and running - if you have any further problems, I recommend opening a ticket in our support center so that we can troubleshoot.
