I have this massege:

"Error opening camera. Camera might be locked by another program".


I'm using Sony Handycam dcr-trv250e

Do you have any other camera programs that are opened? Such as a webcam program? this could cause a conflict with Procaster trying to use your camera.

After looking, I see that your camera is a digital 8 camera, and i am not sure if Procaster will support it. I will contact the dev team for confirmation

You're right. It is digital 8. And I Thinking to buy a new camera.

Is it possible to provide me with the Compatible camera with Procaster. And mic Option

Double check that you're using firewire out and camera is in digital mode in case it has analog (Hi8) mode.

Basically any DV camera with firewire out will work. Some people like Canon Vixia HV40 which is HDV but has DV mode. There are less expensive cameras though.

Many "prosumer" models have the option of using external microphones for better sound. Depending on the types of videos you will be shooting, you can get mics with narrow or wide pick-up patterns.
