Aha, excellent. But is the free version a limited trial?

But what about FFDshow? I heard that that was supposed to be the best encoder for what I'm trying to do. Do you know anything about it?

Well, I tried WebcamMax, but it seems to be incredibly slow in terms of framerate; also the other problem is is the watermark which you need to pay for to get rid of.

I can't seem find any dedicated options to fix the framerate or general optimisation, the webcammax options doesn't seem to have anything related to that.

Alternatively, I just tried something called 'River Past', but Adobe FMLE doesn't seem to recognise that as a video device.
