wmv files upload but don't play

We have library of wmv files ready to upload but we have tried about 5 wmv files encoded at Windows Media 9 Standard 320x240 29 frames per second average size for each under 200mb. upload completes uninterrupted but then none of them play. I uploaded a quicktime mov and that plays fine.

There are known issues converting some types of .wmv here, Can you try converting to .mov or .mp4 before uploading? Try using MPEG Streamclip to do it, if you are strapped for time. Otherwise try sending the file to Support via usendit or a similar file sharing service, and they will take a look at it.
