Hey all,
I'm looking to livestream my wedding and frankly, my head is spinning with all the equipment and workflow options. We'll be renting a camera from somewhere, but not sure what to go with, and if what I'm looking for is possible. Ideally, I'd like to rent a camera that can A) Record locally in HD B) Output live in SD through firewire to my MBP. I know you can easily do both of those things separately, but can I do them together at the same time? Would this work on the Canon XHA1? Other camera suggestions or general ideas? |

PhillipGrey,
I'm not sure if the XHA1 will allow you to output at a different setting than what is being locally recorded, however generally I believe this is not the case. If you're looking for ease of use and mobility, I would highly suggest moving over to our New Platform and using any HD camcorder with a Livestream Broadcaster, which is a portable solution that requires only wifi or a 3G/4G connection.

Do you know if there is a rental house anywhere I could rent the broadcaster from? This is the only thing I need it for, so I don't really need to make a purchase of it at this point...

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any retailers offering the Broadcaster for rental at this time.
