Games won't hook, minimizing games on start/stop...

Several of my games won't hook, gamebryo games seem to be guaranteed to never hook, New Vegas, Skyrim, or Morrowind certaintly never could, I also can't get spec ops: the line to hook. The overlay doesn't show up at all no matter what. Sometimes when I press my broadcast start button nothing happens, sometimes it minimizes me and tells me to press the start broadcast button ingame, sometimes it minimizes me and opens up the chat, like I am using capture desktop (but I am using capture game).

In the games it does work in, the second I press start broadcast, I am minimized, same goes for end broadcast.

When I press the key to interact with the overlay, and go back to playing ingame, I am unable to click, It does absolutely nothing. I can go back to the overlay and click everything just fine, but it becomes unusable in the game until I restart the game completely.

This is very very very irritating and with the last few hours googling my problems, I either return with nothing at all, or answers like "hmmm that's weird".

Please can some one help me with this.

I recommend installing the latest beta of Procaster, 20.3.7, which has improved game mode functionality. Once you have Procaster open, you can click CTRL+F2 with the game in the foreground to immediately hook. When the HUD appears, you can click CTRL+F1 to go live. Let me know if this helps.
