Default "Capture Card Asynchronization Detected"

"Capture Card Asynchronization Detected"

I keep getting this error every few hours on Procaster on both Windows and Mac OSX. Both computers are streaming from a Blackmagic Design Decklink SDI card. (Certified for Livestream Procaster). I cannot find anyone else with this error.

Anyone from Livestream support know what this error means?

I have to continously restart the stream, as we are streaming like 24/7 online.

Thanks,

Hello,

I am sorry you are having this problem. If you can, please let me know the version numbers you are using for both Mac and PC editions of procaster. Also, is there at any time in your work flow where your video drops out?

We from Livestream want to have the most perfect recording available so when we detect that the Blackmagic card doesn't receive a frame, it will stop the broadcast, resulting in an Capture Card A-Synchronization error.
Could you install the latest blackmagic drivers from the blackmagic website (http://blackmagic-design.com/support/ give us the system specifications of your pc and mac, the camera you're using, the qualities you're trying to stream at and a speedtest to new york city (done from www.speedtest.net)?

there is an option to disable that.
depending on capture & encoding configuration, internet speed and processing power, fast moving video is the leading cause of frame drops.

All,

Thank you so much for the responses. As I am not at work, I cannot give the exact answers, but I will fill everyone in on what I know. Both mac + PC are using very recent versions, likely the latest official release (though I cannot confirm). The Blackmagic drivers on the PC are current while the ones on the mac are not the latest. Both of the computers are quad core servers. Our speedtest up-speed to NY is 75 Mbps. Computer speed not the issue, internet speed not the issue. The video input is an SDI input from a TV station's video router. So many different video sources get switched into it, but they are all timed. There might be an occasional drop in video between clips.

Any way to disable the "feature"? Procaster stops as much as a few times a day, and someone has to restart it. (Our channel is streaming 24/7).

Any ideas on this?

Is there a simple way to stop Procaster from halting the broadcast if it receives dropped frames?

Yes it seems a preference to turn this "halting the broadcast" is needed.
We've been experiencing this over the last year. We've been through multiple driver updates and versions of Procaster and this still happens. Most of our programming is coming from a MacPro running a playlist of videos through MegaSeg software. A Matrox MXO sends the SDI video to Procaster in another MacPro with a Blackmagic Decklink SDI.
We also experienced this running Procaster on a Windows 7 box with BM Decklink.
