Audio Garbled at Higher Volumes

As the title says.
I use Windows XP and Realtek AC97 Audio (Default), at 64 bits, MP3 encoding Stereo.
I tried what the FAQ suggested and there was no change.

This seems like a distortion issue for a certain source.

you should try to find a way to reduce the souirce volume in the control panel. if not, then i guess you'll have to broadcast at lower volumes... is it acceptable?
